Helianthus 'Happy Days' is a stunning dwarf perennial sunflower. Dramatic bright yellow flowers, with double centres, are produced from July to September, on stems just 90cm / 36" or so high. Leaves are dark green, toothed and pointed, and make a great backdrop for the yellow blooms. The plants are slim, at just 60cm wide. Happy to grow in most good garden soils, in a sunny spot, this Helianthus is a useful late-flowering plant for the middle of a border. And it does not run amok, like some types!

Bees and butterflies love the flowers, which are also great to use as cut blooms for indoors; they also dry well for long-lasting indoor decorations. Helianthus 'Happy Days' is so highly regarded by experts, that the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has given it the coveted Award of Garden Merit.
