This award winning tulip was granted the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1993. Tulip 'Showwinner' is one of the most striking Kaufmanniana Tulip cultivars. The blooms have fiery bright scarlet petals which open up wide to reveal a golden heart. Will you applaud your showwinner? It certainly deserves your accolades. 'Showwinner' tulips create gorgeous harmonies with other bulbs such as crocuses. They also naturalize quite well for some gardeners, settling in to bloom year after year if you choose a favourable location.
